Wasting time, Pushing papers

Well, as expected it’s been awhile since I’ve posted on here. That’s what happens when you have kids, wife and work. I know I’m blessed and shouldn’t complain.
As everyone knows, Judy’s expecting our next child. It could be any day but is scheduled for the 26th of July. We’re pretty excited and have FINALLY decided on the name. Not sure how to spell it but it will be ***** ****** oh that’s right, I’m not telling! I dread sitting in the hospital waiting on 1) the baby to decide to come out and 2) the Doctors letting us leave. Whoever invented those reclining chair/bed wannabes obviously had an obsession with medieval torture devices.  Those things are the work of the Devil.

I had Abby all this week (for our summer “vacation” time). It was great in fact, I’m writing this as I’m sitting at her middle school waiting on her cheerleading practice. Now as everyone knows, I’ve always been full of school spirit, but as I get older, Cheerleading is not as exciting as it once was…

Speaking of school spirit, App State has put out the game times and it looks like I’ll be going to VT for an early game. I’m actually excited to go, even though I don’t expect the W. It will be fun to see a big stadium again, and I’m sure it will bring back many memories of my High School and Intermediate School days.

Oh and how about those Lady Yanks? US Women's Soccer Team is going to the final game of the World Cup this weekend. Let's hope they can finish the task. I still remember watching the '99 game and the PKs that won it.

Well now so that you don’t feel like you’ve wasted your time on my blog, some educational info:
1)      It cost more to buy a new car today (in the US) then it did for Christopher Columbus to take 3 voyages to and from the New World
2)      The Sentence “the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog” uses every letter in the English language.
3)      A Snail can sleep for 3 years.
4)      A pound of Potato Chips cost 200 more times than a pound of Potatoes.

Nobody's Business

Well, here we go. A long bit behind the blog phase I am. Finally in my life I've reached a point where I have decided to try this blog thing. I know it will be complete randomness. I know I won't be the most punctual blogger and post on a regular basis. So as GI Joe said, "Now you know, and knowing is half the battle".

About the title "You know this?"
Carson, (my 3rd child out of what will soon be 5, and only boy) has picked this up somewhere. He says it all the time. It will be completely random too. We can be driving in the car and talking about our chickens and eggs and Carson will interrupt and say something like "I need a smoke detector and door knob for my house. You know this?". This obvious and random thought process must come from his mother, Judy. I am way more organized in my thoughts. GI Joe, cool huh? I'm not talking about the Barbie Doll wanna be's I mean the sweet 3.75" ones. You know, the toys that had things like cars and tanks, forts and even the space shuttle? Those things were fun to play with...
So about why I started this blog, I figured it was time to put my randomness onto something defined. I would say paper and pen but, instead, how about 1's and 0's? You know, digital talk for words. I'm sure there will be crazy stuff on here ranging form barefoot running (something I've really got into this spring and summer), Ska music (which running again has allowed me to dedicate at least 30 min a day to listen to the music again), my Family (which I spend most of my time with), and the multiple jobs I have to support that family.

Thanks for reading this, let me know how to make this something worth reading next time...
